We provide a range of plain and decorative, flame retardant fabrics, allowing you to create care home interiors that are both comfortable and safe for your residents and staff.
*All FR-One upholstery fabrics to be used within the UK require an extra FR treatment.
Performance
When it comes to performance, FR-One fabrics are designed with high standards. FR-One have worked to perfect the fibres of their fabrics with Inherent Fire-Retardant characteristics, a quality that is rooted within the molecular structure of the fibre and will therefore never diminish. With their self-extinguishing characteristics, our FR-One fabrics will not allow for the propagation of flames and as a result, will assist in the containment of a fire should one occur.
FR-One fabrics also boast strong sound absorption properties; tested under ISO 354-1165, most of our designs are classified as ‘Extremely Absorbing’ category A and B. The use of fabrics with strong sound absorption properties will improve the quality of sound within a room by decreasing reverberation and the echo of the sounds generated in the room, thus benefiting those with hearing, cognitive and physiological conditions.
Cleanability
Hygiene is now increasingly important and it is necessary that care homes are designed to be both comfortable and easy to maintain. Our inherently fire-retardant fabrics are all fully washable. A number of our collections including our new ‘RE-Invent’ range are washable at 71° Celsius. Reports show a 99.999% reduction of bacteria and viruses is achieved when the fabric is exposed to temperatures above 70° Celsius, this is therefore why the standard is set to 71° Celsius. Through the use of FR-One fabrics, care homes will be able to optimise cleanability without sacrificing design.
Durability
Our wide range of FR-One fabrics are the best choice for high traffic areas, designed to stand the test of time while boasting high durability. The best-selling and timeless velvet ‘Moon’ has been refreshed with a deeper colour palette as part of the new RE-Invent range. It boasts strong durability, successfully managing 100,000 rubs. The grand multi-use collection that is ‘Regal Velvets’ features 3 striking jacquard velvets; Remain, Regalia and Requiem. Regalia is an all over abstract design that gives great visual texture and movement and reaches 100,000 rubs on the Martindale rub test. Remain is a classic key design with a hidden optical zigzag twist, both Remain and Requiem achieve 70,000 rubs.
All FR-One fabrics are tested for durability, colour fastness, stability and strength and are designed to perform time and time again.
